Crispy Teriyaki Tofu

This teriyaki tofu recipe is modified from Clean & Delicious.

Ingredients

  • Crispy Tofu
  • Extra firm tofu

  • 1 tbsp low-sodium tamari (or soy sauce)

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil

  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (or arrowroot)

  • Sauce
  • 2 tbsps. Teriyaki Sauce

  • Sriracha to taste

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 400 F
  • Squeeze out the water from the tofu.
  • Cut extra firm tofu into squares and press until dry
  • Mix the marinade (tamari, avocado oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder) together and then add the tofu. Gently stir so tofu is covered.
  • Add the cornstarch and again stir until covered.
  • Line a baking sheet and place tofu even spaced.
  • Bake tofu for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Sauce
  • Mix the teriyaki sauce and sriracha (to taste)
  • Add the crispy tofu and coat
  • Eat with rice/quinoa and broccoli or other veggies!
